Rosso Piceno is produced in a large area including the provinces of Ancona, Macerata, Ascoli Piceno.
It is made of 60% Sangiovese grapes and no more than 40% Montepulciano grapes, and can also contain a minimum percentage (no more than 15%) of Trebbiano and Passerina.
Full-bodied tasty wine, with a ruby red color and a dry flavor.
